Tips
In case you are thinking about booking your holidays through a travel agency, you should consider that the travel agent may not be aware of temporary changes in the vecinity of your hotel (i.e. constructions). Don't run the risk of choosing the wrong place - we know where you can enjoy your holidays without being disturbed in peace and quiet. We will be very pleased to give you a helping hand in the search for suitable accommodation and also when it comes to the reservation you can ask us for advice.
Buying the tickets
The best way to buy a ticket is in our opinion, at your local airport, where plenty of Last-minute-agencies offer tickets to the Canaries at good and reasonable prices. (Please have in mind that during school holidays the prices might vary!)
A combined ticket including the transport to the airport by bus or by train can often be a cheaper way of travelling. Return flights to Tenerife are currently being offered by various travel companies from € 200. In case you can't find any flight at an adequate price, you should consider travelling from a different airport, which might offer the same flights much cheaper.
It should also be taken into account that you have to arrive at Tenerife at 16:30 pm at the latest, as the last ferry leaves to La Gomera at 20:30pm. Travel agencies do not always bear the costs of accommodation in case the plane is delayed. Please ask for information.
Hotels
Apartments are available at a price of approx. €35 - €45 a day for 2-3 persons. Kitchen and room service are always included. As far as the quality of the different hotels or apartments is concerned, we would recommend you to book with the help of Gomeradivers, as we know the best accommodation on the whole island.
Renting a car
There are five different car rental firms with almost identical prices that might vary a bit especially during school holidays. Ask us for help!
Boat-chartering
Through our diving activities we've used the services of a renowned English charter company, based in San Sebastián. Motor and sailing yachts can be hired with or without "captain". Day trips on a sailing boat or an island tour along Gomera's costal line can also be booked at short notice through Gomeradivers.
